Guess what? FLOORS!

We have stage one DONE. The foyer, sitting room, dining room and upstairs playroom are FINISHED. And look AMAZING. I can't even get over how... light everything looks! And we will just need to re-coat them every 5-6 years and we will never have to refinished again. Although moving everything out of every room every 5-6 years makes me weep.

No. Seriously. It SUCKS.

We moved everything back this afternoon, with the help of a neighbour (who happened to be our realtor too). Thankfully he is STRONG. And then moved everything OUT with the help of our best friend and her daughter.

Tomorrow the master, M's room and the family room starts. No TV all week... it will be a challenge for the daughter only.

But the sitting room wall colour, that was PERFECT. Is... not. Too yellow now. Fascinating how much changes with the floors changing.

This is the OLD colour versus the new colour, in the playroom to the hallway upstairs.

We have a brand new house! And we couldn't be happier. 

Plus? Nick will teach us how to wash and  clean the existing trim we have! He installs floors. He knows locks (and old locks). He refinishes and cleans trim. AND floors. AND he has shelties. He's pretty much a unicorn.
