Where I fail at blogging...
Our main floor bathroom is painted a warm olive green. When we bought it there were fake wood vertical blinds. It is a large room, but with the glossy warm colour and the light blocking blinds... it is a dim room. And while I try to strategically open the blinds to let some light in, Neil prefers pure privacy and keeps them closed.
As one of the first rooms to get painted, I wanted the new window coverings in before we picked a paint colour. Have been searching light-letting-in-but-private blinds. That is not the technical term...
And I think we found one! AND IT'S NOT BREAKING THE BANK.
Before:
And the after. Which the discerning eye will note, is NOT the same as the before... but in my (lack of) infinite wisdom I reno'ed before blogging. So this is our bedroom window. Same width, similar olive-ish colour. Same plan to have it painted...
Cleaner lines. Less distracting. HOPING lets in much more light. And if this is a success? With just $100 more dollars and 15 minutes of work the master bedroom is getting done too!
(for those interested, this is the blind we went with, in white)
